Ehrlichiosis is an infectious multi-organ disease that occurs with thrombocytopenia. The clinical symptoms of the disease are non-specific. Dogs initially show apathy, weakness and fever. Then there is weight loss, bleeding from mucous membranes, enlargement of the spleen and lymph nodes, and sometimes also mucopurulent discharge from the nose. Symptoms also include: vomiting, diarrhea, arthritis and nervous symptoms in the form of convulsions and paralysis.
