Babesia gibsoni is a tick-borne protozoal blood parasite. The primary mode of transmission of Babesia organisms to dogs is by ticks during feeding. The normal incubation period is
7-21 days. Acute clinical signs of canine babesiosis include lethargy, fever, hemolytic anemia,
thrombocytopenia, and splenomegaly. Treatment is aimed at the supportive care needed in an acute presentation for the anemia and at trying to clear the organism.

How to perform the BG Ab test?

Unpack the test

Remove the test device from the sealed pouch and place it on the flat surface

Prepare the sample

Place 10μL of the specimen into sample well (S).

Apply the solution

Add 3 drops of the assay buffer into the sample well (S) immediately.

Wait

Interpret the test results after 5-10 minutes.
Results read earlier or later may be falsified
DO NOT READ THE TEST RESULTS AFTER 10 MINUTES!

Interpretation of the results

Positive result: two colored lines will appear - in the test line zone and control line zone
Negative result: only one colored line will appear in the control line zone
Invalid result: the colored line does not appear in the control line zone
